Hi my name is Megan, and some of you may already know me from behind the scenes, at events, or through your bookings with The Childminding Co.
My journey working with children began in 2013, when my daughter Gabriella was just four months old. At the time, I was searching for something different from my management role work that offered flexibility, purpose, and the ability to be present for my family. Early childhood education gave me exactly that, and I quickly fell in love with the impact quality care can have on both children and families.
I met Shana, the original creator of The Childminding Co., while working in early childhood, and through what felt like fate, I was asked to help with a local wedding. That moment sparked my curiosity and ultimately led me to join the events team in 2023. What started as casual work quickly grew into something much bigger. By early 2024, I stepped into the role of Events Coordinator, later Agency Manager and now proud Owner/Director.
As a single mum to four children Jasper, Gabriella, Axel, and Kiara flexibility has never been a luxury for me, it’s been essential. Kiara was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, which has meant navigating hospital stays and complex care while still needing to provide for my family. The Childminding Co. allowed me to do both, and that experience deeply shapes how I now lead the agency.
When the opportunity arose to take over the business, it wasn’t something I could walk away from. The Childminding Co. represents everything I value — trust, compassion, reliability, and real support for families who don’t always have a village around them.
Today, my focus is on supporting our childminders, strengthening our systems behind the scenes, and continuing to provide families with care they can truly trust. This business is more than work to me — it’s personal, it’s purposeful, and it’s something I’m incredibly proud to be part of.

I’m from the Sunshine Coast originally where I have babysat privately for 9 years and for another agency for 4 years (Nannies of Noosa). “My name is Kerry. Children are my life and my greatest love. I have extensive experience providing care and education to children from birth to 18years. I was a mother of 3 before I turned 22 and worked as a family daycare provider until my last child entered school. I then entered centre care in 1995 and worked my way through the ranks from unqualified Assistant to Centre Director. I left centre based care in 2023 and am currently working also as a part-time Therapeutic Residential Youth Worker. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services and a Diploma in Child, Youth and Family Intervention. Look forward to connecting with you soon.”
“Hi my name is Kelly and I have been working in child care for about 20 years. I have been a nanny, a babysitter, worked in long day care and now currently working in OSHC. I most enjoy working closely one on one with children and their families. I cannot wait to meet you.”
“Hello! I’m Suriya, for the past 3 years I’ve worked across both Early Childhood Education and Outside School Hours Care and am currently working as an Educator at St Francis Catholic Primary School OSHC and am a School Chaplain at Calliope State School. My heart is to support young people and their families and am currently studying my Diploma of Youth Work. I am a leader within my church Youth Ministry. I love playing soccer and pickleball and look forward to meeting you and your family.”
“Hello, my name is Megan. I have worked in the formal Early Childhood Industry for over 10 years and during this time I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and commenced my Diploma. I love that working for The Childminding Co. allows me to get to know children and their families on a deeper more meaningful level. And coordinating events brings out my creative and fun side. I am a mum of four myself; two boys and two girls and through them have learnt many ways to manage and embrace additional needs such as ADHD, ADD and CF. In my spare time I like to go camping and adventuring with my family or curl up with a good book for some “me” time.”
“Hi, I’m Bec! I’m a mum of four with 20+ years of experience working in different roles with children and families – from remote children’s services to childcare centres and vacation care settings. I am currently a post natal care provider, working to support mums in various ways. I have experience with all ages from newborn to preteen. I love to engage with children’s curiosity, and their love of things they are most interested in!”
